Military badges(name tags) of the United states are the awards that have been certified by the United states armed forces. These badges notify the qualification, grading or execution of some particular work in the career. These also give recognition to service members by several awards. These badges are authorized for wearing on military uniforms only. All the five military services maintain different series of these badges. These are used for awarding the services members. But there are also some regulations on displaying these badges, number of badges to be worn at a time and whether these badges should be worn on the uniform used for more than one branch of service. United states armed forces have six general categories of military badges. These are identification badges of the Military, Badges of the Army, Badges of the Navy, Badges of Air Force, Badges of Marine Corps and Badges of Coast Guard. In addition to these badges, U.S. armed forces have also phased out many obsolete badges that do not appear on the United states award charts.
