Care should be taken when feeding so that they don’t become overweight, because this can happen rather quickly.

This breed of dog may be prone to kidney stones and certain types of liver diseases, and any vet who is familiar with the breed can advise you as to how to recognize potential problems. The Mini is also susceptible to inherited eye problems, so proper eye care is essential. Before purchasing the puppy, question the breeder about any health issues the mother or father may have.

There is no better family companion than this small, devoted breed of dog. With a long lifespan of up to 15 years, you can rest assured that with proper care, your little friend will be a source of joy and entertainment as well as companionship for a very long time.
