Philos – This type of love is very common to friends and best friends. This love is based on the friendship between the two people share. This gives proof to what many people say that lovers who started out as close friends have a longer relationship than others.

Friendship is considered as one of the many strong foundations to having a lasting relationship whether marriage, family relationship, co-workers relationship and boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. With Philos love, the two couple gets to know each other’s character, likes and dislikes before they are engaged in a deeper relationship therefore lessening the chances of fight and arguments. Agape Love – This is the purest and the most real among all kinds of love. Unconditional love is the other term for this love. Agape love tops over Philos and Eros love. This type of love is selfless. In other words, one can love another person even if he does not get anything from it or is not waiting for anything in return. Or, you, helping another person even though that person is cursing you or has done bad to you, you still do good for that person without thinking about what he did or waiting for something in return. Agape love is also shown when a son or daughter takes care of his or her parents as they grow old.

These are the 3 types of love. Love inspires and helps people persevere in hardships and troubles. We won’t be born in this world without this.
