Lose Your Love Handles

Despite the nickname given to love handles, they are not necessarily good for you. No one strives for a saddlebag, or a beer gut. How about lugging around a muffin top every day. All of these things refer to the extra weight that sits on the waistband of your pants when you gain too much weight. This is nothing more than your body storing fat because there is no where else for it to go. Spending the rest of your life with these love handles however, is not necessary. There are plenty of things that you can if you want to lose weight, get in shape and fit properly into your pants.

Patience is a virtue when you are getting rid of your love handles. It is not healthy for you to lose a lot of weight rapidly. Overall health is better achieved at a slow pace. This means that it could take weeks or even months for you to completely lose the weight you are carrying around your waist and hips. This can be very disheartening. We all want to see quick drastic results. Too much too soon though, will just get you hurt! So be patient. You will get there!

It is common knowledge that some carbohydrates are good and some are bad. Good carbohydrates are typically found in fruits and vegetables and provide energy for your body. The carbohydrates that do no more than cause your body to find a place to store it are the bad carbohydrates. In that case you should try to lower the amount of bad carbohydrates you eat every day. Your body burns calories from good food easier than it does empty calories.

Get off the couch. At least half an hour every day you should be exercising. You should include aerobic exercise into this time. If you spend a lot of time sitting or not doing much, you are more likely to gain more weight. Exercise is an important factor in keeping the love handles away by burning calories. Exercise will also improve your mood by releasing endorphins which help you fight stress. Exercise is good for so many things. So put down the chips, turn off the television and start moving around!

Our nicknames for love handles make them sound fun and endearing. However, most people find them embarrassing, irritating and annoying. I don’t know of anyone who likes it when their waist exceeds their pant size. But you don’t have to live with this extra fat if you choose not to! There are lots of ways to healthfully drop inches and use up the fat that you have stored on your body. If you are patient and work hard, you should see those love handles shrink.
