Atlanta Braves In 2010 This Is Their Year
There are few people that would have given the Atlanta Braves a fighting chance this season to be in the driver’s seat. This team has seemed to find a new life that at one time was very little chance of. This is the biggest reason why there is such shock when it comes to the Braves in the first half of this season. When the players first reported for Spring Training, there was an air of doom that seemed to linger from the previous season. There was little hope that the team was in a position to make a valid shot at the top of the division. There is reason to believe that the reason for the intense playing of the Braves is all due in part to this being the final year for Bobby Cox managing the Braves. No matter the reason, this promises to be a great year.
The first half of the season is fast approaching and the team is looking to be in a great position when the All-Star break rolls around. The team is just a few games out of first place and is winning more games in a row with each new series that they play. There are several reasons why the team has seen such a renewed sense of importance in the overall of the season.
The first reason goes to the pitching rotation that is now in place it may have taken a little while to get perfected, but now the team is on fire and is looking to advance more and more every game. With the trade deadline on the horizon the Braves may want to consider adding a little more fire power to their bullpen in the later part of the season. This will help to make sure that they continue to have the strong pitching presence.
The Braves outfield has seen a lot of massive improvement in the form of adding players that are able to get the big plays that are needed to be made on the field. The Braves has one of the more solid outfields in all of baseball. This talented outfield has led the team to see an increase in the number of plays that resulted in double plays and stranding runners at base. This is a vital key to the success of the Braves.
There is no reason why as a Braves fan you need to continue to hide in the doghouse and be afraid to show your Braves pride. The team has gone a long way in order to improve on their season from the previous few. There will be a lot more interest that will be included with the Braves and as a result will lead to Bobby Cox to have a wonderful retirement gift with a World Championship.
